Ovulation - pain, spotting and clots

I'm hoping someone else has experienced this and so can advise/reassure.

On Monday (exactly 2 weeks after my last period) I started getting ovulation pains, which normally last an hour or so for me. But this time the crams have continued without pause, so I am still cramping now.

Which is horrible enough on it's own, except I have nausea too - so having to eat very small meals.

On Tuesday I had some very light spotting, which was kind of brown in colour. On Wednesday there was more spotting and also a clot - also brown.

Tonight I've had more spotting again, but this time red in colour.

Since Monday I've also had a lot of EWCM - much more than usual.

I'm not on any birth control as I'm TTC. I am on anti depressants and painkillers for a back problem, though I've been on both for over a year with nothing like this before.

Tell me this is just normal ovulation and that it isn't my body fucking up royally. Last month my period was 2 weeks late, so I'm not exactly trusting of my reproductive
system right now

Also, any other advice on cramps? Tried the usual staples for period pain (heat and painkillers) but it isn't touching it. So I haven't been sleeping well either.

Are you currently under the care of a gynae; you should be with these symptoms. You need a diagnosis first and foremost. At the very least you should see your GP; spotting between periods should always be checked out further. Same with mid cycle pain; there is always a cause.

For what its worth I do not think this is related to ovulation. If your periods have become more irregular and or heavy or painful over time (including mid cycle pain) this should be investigated further by a gynaecologist at a subfertility unit.

Np, I'm not. Guess I should go back to my GP, though he was very dismissive when I saw him on Wednesday.

See another GP in the practice if there is one. I would also longer term look into changing GP practice; you can't work with a dismissive GP.

You certainly should be under the care of a gynae with these types of symptoms.

You must get checked out
