Is this really caused by too much painkillers?

I had a wisdom tooth out last Tuesday. I accidentally took a double dose of doclofenac (2 x 75mg twice daily) for a couple of days and solpadeine too. On Thursday, Friday and Sat I took the proper dose as well as some Sopadeine. I took about eight Solpadeine tablets in 24 h on Fri/Sat as well as the dicolfenac and by Saturday evening was feeling really sick. I only took paracetamol yesterday. This morning I took two solpadeine. I haven't had any dicolfenac since Saturday, but I still feel completely nauseous and have had diarrhoea since last night. Went back to the dentist who has dressed the wound with something and told me to stop taking any painkillers, which I have done. But could it really still be the painkillers making me sick if I've only had paracetamol since Sat (apart from the Solpadeine this morning)?
I feel dreaful, so I hope this is making sense and thank you if you've lasted this long into my ramblings
ps The dentist had to cut into the gum and remove some bone to get it out, so I think that is why it was so painful and I took so many drugs

Should have been 'too many painkillers' I guess

My dh had a bad tooth infection while we were at university and had it lanced. He was taking several drugs (including diclofenac). He ended up on the sofa, curled in a ball crying and with stomach pains. He then had a terrible upset stomach and hideous nausea. The cause? Accidental overdose.

He was fine. Just had to stop all painkillers apart from anbesol that he rubbed directly onto the sore bit of his mouth and plenty of medicated mouthwash.

He was v poorly v quickly. Sound like the same thing you are going through. He was on antimicrobiotics too which had stripped his stomach and made his reaction worse.

Diclofenac always makes me feel terrible, and the effect lasts a few days.

Gosh, that must be it. Thanks so much, both of you. I wish I'd been warned and I would have just taken neurofen.
Thanks again.

Nurofen is also an NSAID, like diclofenac. So I would avoid that too until you feel better and stick to paracetamol, it is much gentler on the stomach.

Thanks moaning minnie (that should be my name at the moment ). I've been advised to take nothing at all so I'll just have to grin and bear it
