My bum is bleeding. No pain, but loads of blood - like dripping into the toilet. What's that all about then?

embarrassing problems suggests that lots of fresh blood is probably nothing to worry about.

You may not know if you have piles - I didn't realise till I went for my smear and then doc kindly told me (as she was peering down there)!!

Janh · 13/08/2005 19:28

Ew, fisil - I hadn't and now I wish I still hadn't! - botties are worse than other bits, aren't they?

Interesting that you have to lie on your left - I'm now mentally running through all the couches I've ever used to see which end the head has been!

Charlee · 13/08/2005 19:38

i am willing to admit whilst i was pg i had to bottom internals and although they obviously wernt plesant they wernt uncomfortable and were very quick, it was a bit embarrasing but thats all.

Charlee · 13/08/2005 19:46

god i have killed it with my 2 bottom examinations sorry!

fisil · 13/08/2005 19:57

Oh, I've had 100s in my time with my fistulae! But it doesn't make them any more palatable!

NHS Direct rang back and gave me 2 choices - go to A&E (on a Saturday night, yeah right) or get a doctor to call me. So I'm now waiting for a doctor from CroyDoc to ring.

I have this embarrassing problem too when I have a poo bright red blood on the tissue, some times a lot some times non (sorry if tmi). I had a internal examination about 3 years ago and they couldn't find anything, but its still happening. Maybe I should go back to the doctor.
Let me know what you find out.

fisil · 14/08/2005 18:41

thanks for asking essbee. It is comforting to know that someone out there is thinking about my bum . How's your spot, btw?

NHS Direct did their usual drama queen act and had sent a message to CroyDoc telling them I'd been advised to go to A&E or call an ambulance immediately! The CroyDoc doctor asked a few questions and said it sounded like piles and I may aswell go and see my own GP sometime next week! Suits me much better. And no blood today.
