I'm getting a bit desperate. DTD2 is 13.5mo and was never windy as a baby. Now she seems to have trapped wind at night causing frequent waking (every 45 min at worst like last night). She is screaming with pain, arching her back and when it is at its worst, bring up her legs. If I can get her to burp she will go back to sleep. On a few occasions she has then slept through the night, leading me to believe that it is the wind that is waking her. Most nights she is up a few more times at least and usually burps each time. But it can take 15mins to get any wind up at all.
I've tried gripe water; after the first time she wouldn't take it. I've tried soda water instead of ordinary water to drink at night and to drink with her tea. Now she won't drink that, but to be fair, neither seemed to make a significant differece.. I've moved tea to a bit earlier and then they have a 30-45min play before bath to give more time for tea to be digested. This seems to have helped but not solved the problem.
Has anyone any experience of something similar, or any ideas? I've heard of cranial osteopathy being helpful in smaller babies - could it help here as well?
Thanks
