Can anyone help, I have lost over two stones in 6 months but my tummy is still disproportionate to the rest of me. Had 3rd dd 17 months ago and still look semi preggers. I am exercising which is working in general, but not making an impact on my stomach. Does any one have a quick fire remedy? The beach is calling!

I'm much the same, my tummy is gross and even worse when I'm due on. Have you thought about joining the ' 100 sit ups a day club'? They talk in a foreign language to me, reverse curls and such stuff, but I'm sure they all have gorgeous flat tummies!!

Similar situation nancyp, 3 kids, and one helluva tummy to show for it. Big support pants a good cosmetic solution under your clothes, but as for the beach, wish I knew... The 100 sit ups might be a good idea.

Incidentally, I was told by an obstetric physio that it can take the skin on your tummy up to 2 years to settle down after having a baby, so perhaps no need to despair just yet.

I'm no expert but seem to remember reading about how your stomach muscles need to knit back together after pregnancy and sometimes they don't completely. Apparently you can feel a kind of gap down the middle of the muscles below your navel. I also seem to remember that you need to be careful that you pull in when exercising or else you can end up with the stomach muscles bulging out instead of flat.
As I said I'm certainly no expert and this is the rambling remembering of a book I read - I just wish I could remember what it was called then I might be a real help!
