Question about fibroids and pelvic/ back pain and periods

I posted a couple of weeks ago that my doctor commented my uterus was bulky (this is following some heavy, painful and erratic bleeding) someone said one reason for it to be bulky is fibroids. Looking it up it sounds possible. I'm wondering some things about fibroids:

Firstly do they get worse around periods? As soon as I start bleeding I'm in constant pain like period pain but PAIN if you get me. Mum sat on my bed one morning and rested her hand on me, no weight, and I had to ask her to move because it hurt too much.

Second could it explain why I have PGP even though I'm not pregnant? I've been suffering for almost five with it and on crutches for two years. I've noticed it also gets worse when my period starts. Before I've realised it's started I can barely lift my feet and I'm only standing straight because I'm on the crutches.

I've read things that suggest answers but I feel like I'm extrapolating answers to my questions so I'd rather speak to real people if that makes sense.

Sorry, what is PGP? I've googled it and I don't think it's giving a likely answer.

I'm not sure if there might be a correlation between fibroids and PGP, but I am still having PGP/SPD problems and I have heard of others who say that they had it during pregnancy and even years later feel like they have symptoms again during period time.
I reckon it must be all hormone related - I mean I have been told that the relaxin hormone can stay in your body for a long time, and that's why SPD?PGP can linger after the birth of DCs.
I can't help you with the fibroids but I know that PGP/SPD can still be a problem after pregnancy. Have you seen a physio to see if you have any kind of misalignment in your pelvis? It can really help to get checked out by a maternity physio who is aware of the condition? I am only 13 weeks post p and I still have problems with the pubic symphysis joint, and I'm seeing a physio who is re-aligning me. Basically she said it can take its own time to diminish but I have to be patient. Sorry to hear you are still having problems, please try to see someone who can help, it's an awful awful thing to deal with.

It's not so much that I think it might be causing it, someone said that if you have PGP after pregnancy then it's often not PGP there's something else so I'm wondering if it could be my "something else".

I did get a referal last year but my partner works away and it's not easy to go to an appointment with two children, especially physio when I can't push a pushchair so baby goes in a wrap then I can't put her down. Our parents never seem to be available to help.

My OP should have said I've had it nearly five years. It's permanent, I use the crutches all the time but it gets worse when I'm on.
