Sebaceous cyst removal on head

Anyone experienced the same here ? Am having a small cyst removed from my head in two weeks. Local anaesthetic at Gp's surgery. Have had it done before on my head , but they just keep appearing one or two at a time over the years.
Has anyone else had these and removed. Am a real chicken , i know. Hate needles etc.
Someone give me courage

me !!!! I have the exact same things (they can be hereditary -my mum had some and my brother) I had one removed about a month ago and it was fine - painless, just a few pricks of local. My gp did it and just cut a tiny bit of hair away..it had 3 stitches in lovely blue thread which were taken out the following week. I washed my hair the next day (after proceedure) rather than doing it when I got home as advised as I couldn't face it straight away. As long as you dry your scalp gently with a hairdryer,it's fine. It didn't hurt after, just a bit sore. I am a bit of a wimp and terrible with blood and needles but have survived several bump removals. The one before last was a bit as he couldn't stop the wound bleeding and that was a bit awful -but that is unusual. The time before he told me that the wound was 'oozing' and that made me very queasy- I asked if i could lie down again, which I did and fainted (in a horizontal position too)
Don't be put off though, it really is over in a trice and I always feel so happy afterwards that it's done and no more pesky lump - for the time being anyway.
Some people get them in the pubic area which must be totally horrid - I 'd be much more wibbly about that !
Good luck - have a slurp of rescue remedy before, i always do.

I'm always afraid he'll show it to me - I'd certainly pass out then !
