Could I be anemic?

Not sure if all relevant but:

I keep banging my head, 2 or three times a day - usually on car door as I get kids in and out, or under stairs when I put toys away or on kitchen cupboard doors when I stand up etc. Not something that usually happens to me more than once or twice a year usually!

Also, I have noticed today, that when I stand up or get out of the bath I feel faint - I have almost fainted a few times this week.

I feel a little tired - but I have a baby and toddler. I am bf 5 month old.

I am booking a doc's appointment. Anyone else?

You could be, and it's worth getting a blood test to make sure. On the other hand, the head-bumping sounds like you're a bit worn out and therefore not as alert, and the faintness could be low blood pressure (especially as you get it on standing up or getting out of a hot bath) - which can also be aggrevated by tiredness!
I say all of that, but if you're anaemic, that might be causing the actual tiredness, bit of a chicken or the egg question!

Either way, hope you get it sorted soon

get them to check your thyroid levels including the immune part (they will know what that means). Just to make sure it's not an under active thyroid.

I have a 5 month old and have just been diagnosed with it. Apparently PG can trigger.

I have been and had blood tests. Doctor thinks could be something else but may be an inner ear infection causing it. I have just noticed my eyes are yellow and I would say my skin is a little yellow too. Doctor is ringing on monday so I will also mention this to him.

Thanks for the replies - sorry I didn't get back. A lack of concentration is also a problems and short term memory is a bit naff!

What you could do until you see your doctor next is boost your intake of iron and vitamin C together... this should help boost your iron stores and will also make you a little more resilient. Iron-rich foods would be fortified breakfast cereals, whole eggs, red meats, wholemeal bread, dark green vegetables, pulses. And vitamin c-rich foods would be kiwifruit, citrus fruit, berries .. and the equivalent in juice form.
In addition, take a daily multivitamin with iron.

If you're clinically anaemic or you have some other condition then you'll be prescribed stronger medication than you can get over the counter. If not, then it doesn't hurt to boost your immune system with an improved diet and daily supplements.

It 's possible

My doctor found out I was anaemic when DS was about 20 months. Iron and folic acid deficiency so it is worth mentioning. She said it was probably from when I was pregnant.

Also, I know that when I am tired, I am clumsy. I do have M.E. so tiredness goes with the territory but when I'm not having a great day, I am so unbelievably clumsy I should sit in a room and touch nothing.

Thanks for the replies. Apparently nothing wrong! Must be tired and just fuzzy from baby brain then! I am eating as much nutrients and getting as much fresh air as I can!
