No this is good to hear, as it will put Pruni's mind at rest if she isnt like wetting herself as described.

Oh right

I get this and my GYN said it is ............

TMI alert................

because there is so much being produced, that it can't all escape at the same time, and so goes back up into the Fallopian tubes. [gross]

Mo2 · 02/08/2005 20:26

Pruni
This may be something called menorrhagia - I had it occassionally too. If you 'Google' it you will find more info. (the BUPA info is good, see here

I ended up going to the doctor and then hospital as I lost so much blood I ended up aneamic. If you have any iron tablets you might want to start taking them.
I was prescribed something called tranexamic acid which reduced the bleeding (only took it a few times if tings were really bad - it really helped)
Definitely see your GP or hospital if it continues for more than a day or so...

No, taking ibuprofen wouldn't cause something like you had, Pruni. Have you been evaluated for fibroids? My best friend just had a hysterectomy due to fibroids and before that she got periods exactly as you describe. She became very anemic as well.

Fio2 · 05/08/2005 16:14

PeachyClair · 05/08/2005 17:19

Two tampons can lead to toxic shock, I think?

TMI again but I get this every month, all the females in my family house bound for a day. Getting slightly better now but a blinkin pain!
