I am just getting over it and feeling much better but SO washed out. Which I hate as I feel like a big useless lump. I am worrying myself how long I'll feel this way and have been googling like a mad creature.
I am a bit worried I suppose because I am due to give birth in a few weeks time and am worried I'll still be floored iyswim?
Please make me stop.

I had it last year and i felt pretty run down for a couple of weeks after everything had cleared up. BUT you're pregnant as well which can't be helping!

Pretty run down I was expecting, but I am absolutely buggered!
Yes, being pg doesn't help I am sure...

I had it as an adult and it is very common to feel a bit low/emotional/tearful/negative as part of the symptoms. So the fact you feel that you will still be floored is highly unlikely.

Tbh knowing that helped me understand why my own dcs were so miserable/whingy when they had it. It can have an effect on your mood and emotions.

Yes! I am emotional and weepy!
Thank God that's not just me!

Hope this makes you

I had it just before my wedding. The first symptom (before the spots) was crying at work, very out of character for me. I had a row with my senior colleague (again very out of character). He really hates people crying, can't handle it. He tried to tell me it was wedding nerves and I got more cross and tearful trying to deny this.

Anyway, a day or two later the spots appeared and I went to the GP and said "this is going to sound really odd, and I don't know where I picked it up, but this looks like c pox!?" (I had it once as a child too)

I remember the emotions being worse than the actual spots tbh.

Oh, you poor thing - just before your wedding!

I spent a few days sobbing actually - feel a bit better knowing why now...

try googling lolcats and cake wrecks instead!

hope you feel much better soon, I'm so glad the internet was just a twinkle in some geek's eye when I had it, at 34 weeks.

Don' t be too hard on yourself as you may well be feeling weepy and exhausted at ths stage anyway, what with a young 'un around and very pg.

best wishes,

Thanks yummy.

Yes, I wasn't exactly brimming with energy before the dreaded pox...

I am quite well acquainted with cake wrecks - it is hysterical and a far better bet than bloody adult chicken pox!
