I have been to the doctor with this but he just had a scwidge about and said he couldnt feel anything and had no idea what it was..

I keep getting a funny feeling really low in my stomch, just above pubic bone but to the right. The only way I can describe it is like the feeling when youre about 7 mths pregnant and baby pokes a finger in you. Usually its not painful but every so often it pulses for about 15 pulses and really hurts, a sharp pain. I can sometimes feel a rather large lump raise up under my skin when I get the pokey finger feeling, but usually i cant feel anything...

The doctor was not fazed by any of this and told me not to be concerned in any way... but I am!

Hoping someone else has had it and knows what it is. Have googled... no answers.

possibly an ovarian cyst?? does it vary with your cycle? doesn't sound like anything too sinister from your description though.

Ive not noticed a pattern but yes it could be that.. How can I get that checked when doc isnt interested?

Go back to your GP and ask for a referral for a Pelvic USS. keep a note of when you get the pain in relation to your cycle. Be persistent - most GPs wil take you seriously if you represent. Good luck x

I would definitely go back to your GP foureleven. I had something a liitle similar (including unusual mid-cycle bleeding) which turned out to be a cyst on my uterus and adenomyosis. I did have a very long history of crippling period pain and vomiting each month though. It could also be a hernia perhaps although a gynae diagnosis is more likely ... but I'm quite probably way off track and really, as DoNotFeedMeBiscuits says, it would be wise to keep a record of when the pain/swelling occurs and go back to your GP to request a scan. Hope the pain subsides soon.
