Sorry for crap title, my first time

Roundup of today:

shiney, hope you and J have a wonderful weekend together.

Queen, yuck. I hated nearly every minute of my pregnancy. Seriously, if you search my name from about Jan-Aug 2009, it will all be me moaning about how much it sucks. Sympathy for you from another hyperemesis sufferer.

DIB, my stomach leapt a bit reading about your DS, how scary! Glad he seems to be ok.

Alice, your DS is very curled up in there and you've got a ways to go (sorry!) so wouldn't worry about bump size at all.

VT, I think you should prepare for the camping by ceasing all ironing now

BOF, what the hospital appt for? You ok? Hope you feel better!

ABF, hello and welcome! I also think of Carry On films when I see ding dong, DH has forced me to watch them as part of my education on what it means to be British

DI, I am jealous. Tell me next time it is 'dress like a pirate day'.

SAF, my mom believed in benign neglect and got two very self-reliant and capable children. I don't go for doorstop selling of anything, I have a very comprehensive sign that seems to be keeping people away and stuff out of the letterbox.

bitter, I'm sorry, but at your DS being a bottom-flasher!

GetOrf, so giving up diet coke makes you lose weight? Might have to try that one!

bella, glad the cake situation was sorted. I am jealous, I want ducks to come to my house. We just have the neighbourhood cat who leaves us dead stuff [boak]

Goober, yay for another pound off!

korma, flylady is the way forward.

Sazz, that doesn't sound too bad, 4lbs can come off in two weeks. Good job on all the exercise.

Jet, hello! You just reminded me to check my BMI, and I have JUST graduated from 'Morbidly Obese' to merely 'Obese'! Hooray!

Mitts, at least she is your XMIL

hells, good luck with the nits

ScreaminEagle, I'm another who joined late (though it's been nearly 6 months now!).

Norma, hope your DS's finger is ok!

Defluff, at 'yo homies' I feel 12 again.

Went to pick up DS at nursery today and was alerted to the possibility he may be developing chicken pox!! ARrggggghhhhhhhhhhhh I really really hope not, I've only been back at work a week!

My luck is seriously shit. On the positive side the nursery worker thought if he had it the spots would be showing up faster instead of the very gradual increase over the day. So either he doesn't have it and has some weird other rash thing, or he has a mild case, or it will be turning up with a vengence tomorrow.

Either way, it is wine o'clock, DH is going to Spar now to fetch some in.

Yank - agree with colours Lizzy suggested but I'm rubbish at shoes - I never get it right!

So sorry about DS's potential chicken pox. It's a subject close to my heart as DH got banned from DS's birth as he got it just a few days before I went into labour!!!

But actually if DS gets it now (I know timing isn't great for work) he hopefully won't get it too seriously...it's better to get it when you are a baby!

Now I want a margarhita

YanknCock · 30/04/2010 21:43

Sazz, I really really like those! I like shoes to have ankle straps or t bars because I'm always stepping out of them or twisting my ankle otherwise. Heel is a bit high for me I think, I'd need to try to see if I could manage it. Only for about 5 hours, but since the SPD my hips/pelvis do not even like the very low heel on my boots.

DIB, so long as it wasn't being delivered by the original MrsWobbleTheWaitress as she tends to spill most things, so I understand!

MrsWobbleTheWaitress · 30/04/2010 21:44

OMG! How the fuck are you meant to spell margarhita/margharita/margarita....??????

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 30/04/2010 21:45

Sod it, I'll stick to gin!

YanknCock · 30/04/2010 21:45

bella, they're not really 'me' but then again 'me' is the one who chose the rubbish shoes I am wearing in the pic, so I should really step outside my comfort zone. We've got a big M&S near us, I should go in this weekend and see if I can try those on. I'd probably have to take the dress, I just can't picture it.

MrsWobbleTheWaitress · 30/04/2010 21:45

I like the style of the Next ones that Sazz linked to, but I'm not fond of pale coloured shoes - too much potential for becoming grubby.

MrsWobbleTheWaitress · 30/04/2010 21:46

Yank - I love the pink M&S ones! You should definitely get them if you don't get the Clarks teal ones!

wastingaway · 30/04/2010 21:46

Oh DIB.

Yank, I love that teal/turquoise colour. Lovely shoes.

DS has been moaning a little. We've got this cough/throat thing going on, was hoping he'd sleep through again. Fingers crossed.

I have these ones Yank - I called mine coffee coloured but in fact they are the taupe ones, a light coffee colour.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 30/04/2010 21:47

I like the teal shoes, but I also like the pink shoes. But which is best...

Saf! We're just having a clean slate after all the events. Busy new thread, I'm sure noone was deliberately ignoring you.

MrsWobbleTheWaitress · 30/04/2010 21:49

Not ignoring you, SAF, just the topic. Don't take it personally. I've just imposed a rule so this thread can become lovely and smiley again.

Wasting - we too have illing children in our house. DD4 had a cold the other night and now has a horrid post-viral rash. She's more or less herself otherwise though, thankfully. MOre than can be said for ratbag DD2!!!

YanknCock · 30/04/2010 21:49

DS is asleep, we'll see in the morning if he's got the dreaded pox. He went to bed without a whimper tonight.

And following one glass of wine I feel so ready to do the same. Sad.

Tomorrow I go for leg/bikini waxing, brow wax, facial and manicure (the last two I'm getting on their loyalty scheme because I get waxed every month). Will be nice to have the morning to myself to (sort of) relax. As much as you can relax when someone is yanking out your body hair by the roots anyway.

OP posts:
bellavita · 30/04/2010 21:50

SAF - what on earth is the matter?

DreamsInBinary · 30/04/2010 21:51

How can I have forgotten to praise the amazing round-up?!

Would love sex on the beach, MrsW

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 30/04/2010 21:51
hellsbelles · 30/04/2010 21:52

SAF - no no no - no one was intentionally ignoring you...we just need to not mention anything that may stir stuff up. Don't be sad or paranoid.

Yank - imo you can go higher with wedges as they are so much easier than normal heels. Even though I'm rubbish at walking in heels I can usually manage a wedge.

bellavita · 30/04/2010 21:52

Oh, I see.

SAF, in light of what has happened I think it is best we sshhhhhhhhh. As MrsW says, clean slate and all that.

MrsWobbleTheWaitress · 30/04/2010 21:53

We've had the pox in this family - two rounds of it. Once when DD1 and DD2 were the only sisters in residence; and once last summer when DD3 and DD4 caught up.
