Sunscreen allergy - any recommendations?

My three-year-old son has red hair and very fair skin, and until this year has only been able to use Lloyds' Pharmacy Soltan sun creams - everything else we've ever tried has brought him out in a blotchy raised rash within ten minutes or so. I don't know whether they've reforumlated Soltan or whether he's just become sensitised to it, but I put some on him on Saturday for the first tiem this year (new bottle) and he reacted to it - not immediately, but overnight, with a red pinprick rash everywhere I'd put the cream. Can anyone recommend any hypoallergenic sunscreens for very sensitive skin? Should I be looking for a mineral-based one? Obviously we're going to keep him out of the sun as much as possible, but he's a very outdoorsy boy and he'll need something for nursery. Is this stuff any good?

Lavera and Dr Hauschka (contains sesame and nut oils) do some very good ones that are also Sodium Lauryl Sulphate free.

A dermatologist recommended Sunsense to me for my fair skinned, sun sensitive, suncream sensitive ds1. It is the only suncream he's not come out in a rash with and is non-oily, so lovely to put on.

Ds is allergic to several sunscreens, but he is fine with Lavera.

Thanks! I've ordered the Lavera one but will try the Sunsense as well.
