After a spate of thrush now in our 4 th week and still not all gone! I did something stupid and had a look down there! Not all that happy that healed well from dd 1.5 when I tore. Prev had episotomy with ds 3.5. looks like a bit whole can see well inside.... To be blunt when I do my pelvic floor exercises I can see two bits contracting and moving together!
Is this normal or is it possible prolapse?

Have a feel, if you can feel a bulge up there with what feels like a ring then this is your cervix and there's a mild prolapse. Just wash your hands and stick a finger up there and feel around.

Your cervix should be hard to find if it's in the normal place. Prolapses are classified into how severe they are, a 1 is mild, if you insert your finger then you should feel the cervix, it feels like an upside down volcano IYSWIM, it shouldn't come out of your vagina, this is the next level of prolapse, where it's possible to see the cervix as it's at the entrance of the vagina, the third is a full prolapse, this is where the cervix comes out of the vagina. There's a varying degree of incontinence associated with each prolapse aswell, a mild prolapse may have stress incontinence (where you wee a little if you cough/sneeze), a third degree prolapse may be fully incontinent, both urine and faeces. The second and third degree prolapses can have surgery, they don't tend to do anything about a first degree prolapse, although they can give a patient a ring that is inserted to keep everything in place.

You are best off seeing your GP who can refer you to a gynecologist, alot depends on how severe the prolapse is, any other symptoms (incontinence) and whether you wish to have more children as pregnancy can make the prolapse worse.
