baby oil is good i think

Grapeseed oil massaged in and left overnight. Then brush very lightly in the morning with an old soft toothbursh.

Vaseline overnight really works, and less slippery than oil

might try the vaseline tonight asi dint have baby oil or grapeseed oil. i take it i just wash it out in the morning. do i rub it in or just slap it on

Pud1 - I tried everything when my dd had really bad cradle cap. Everything.

In the end, a cream called Epiderm (I think) did the trick in one application. I couldn't believe it. I think I had to ask in the chemist for it.

Joolyjoolyjoo · 17/03/2010 16:53

Slap it on!! I tried everything else with ds, and was really impressed at how quickly the vaseline helped.

Pwsimerimew · 17/03/2010 16:56

Also, you could try olive oil

albertababy · 17/03/2010 16:59

oh I see... maybe ring the health visitor they probably see this all the time?

alypaly · 17/03/2010 18:02

put olive oil on as often as you want and leave on overnight. It should eventually go but dont be tempted to pick it off as it sticks quite hard to the scalp.

paisleyleaf · 17/03/2010 18:13

I used to put olive oil (you only need a very small amount) on my DD for overnight, and it worked great.

My DS had this very badly. It was so thick it looked like he had curly ginger hair and he lost all his baby hair when it came out. We used various creams given to us by the doctor but the best thing was olive oil over night, then use a soft brush in the morning. I also found that my DS used to scratch it quite a lot which made it come off. Luckily it was softened by the olive oil so it was ok.

it seams to have come off the scalp now and is stuck in her hair along with the vaseline. have washed it once but still really greasy. at least it has worked just have to work out how to de grease her now
