HIDEOUS period pain

I had my coil removed on Tuesday ( day 3 of cycle), it was fine, yesterday just the normal crampy pains, went to bed last night with moderate pain and heavy bleeding but nothing that co-codamol didn't solve.
Woke up this morning and it felt like the end stages of labour, like my pelvis was splitting apart, DH tried to rub my stomach and it was agonising - went to the loo and was in so much pain I couldn't even pee, I thought I was going to pass out and started vomiting, I was stood up retching over the sink and with every heave, there was blood ( and a little wee) running down my legs!
I finally managed to empty my bladder, very slowly and the pain subsided.
Now I feel like I've been kicked and my cervix feels really tender.

My coil came out very easily so I wonder if it's just coincidence that I've had such a lot of pain?
I do sometimes get spasms when I need a poo on my heaviest days, but nothing as bad as this, it scared me, and terrified DH - when he came into the bathroom I was stood in a puddle of blood and wee !

That sounds awful I would make a docs appointment. Was this deffo a period?

Yes, definitely my period, bang on time too. I'm wondering if I have a tiny bit of endometriosis that is attached to either my bladder or bowel. I'm feeling a lot better now, after 2 co-codamol and 2 ibuprofen, plus I've been able to have a poo, which wasn't too painful thankfully and I'm not bleeding as heavily now.

If it happens next month I'll definfitely see the doctor, my uterus is probably in shock because I'd had coils in for 15+ years. I don't suppose being 43 helps either, my periods have been erratic for quite a while.

Actually, having re-read your post, I see that you only had the coil out on Tuesday.

I came off cerrazette after about 5 years on it. 6 months later I had a horrendous period, lots of pain and very heavy bleeding, if I went for a wee the toilet would be red lol, so maybe your next period will be better, as mine have settled down pain and flow wise.

malifience

Even a small bit of endo if present will cause a lot of pain. Bowel, rectal and or bladder involvement can sometimes be seen in patients with endometriosis as well.

I would be making an appt with the GP to get a referral to a gynae for further evaluation. If the underlying cause is endometriosis it requires specialist treatment (its certainly not within a GPs remit even if they recognised it as some do not).

Do not be fobbed off, it is in your interests to get this further investigated because this can impact on your day to day life.
