says it all, or rather if you see my face it'd say it all.

The pain sometimes feels like i've pulled a muscle in the crease of my knee, comes and goes pain, mainly at the top,in my cheek, can't describe it any better than that.

I am going to make an app with the doc, it tends to come on when i've walked a fair bit, which i do a lot off!!!!
Would this be sciatica? or a trapped nerve? why would it come and go?
I am not looking forward to sleeping tonight cos' it'll hurt like mad everytime i turn.
hurts like mad when i try to bend down,or climb stairs.
ouch ouch help please,i've just taken paracetomol.

It sounds like sciatica. I get it and it comes and goes. Does the pain ever go all the way down the calf to the foot when it is really bad? Do you carry a heavy bag on one shoulder when walking?

I relieve it by laying on my stomach with a pile of cushions under my chest so my back is arched. After a few hours it goes away.

The other thing is I do excercises to stengthen back and stomach muscles. That improves posture and stabilises the spine.

had a bad night with the pain, then when i got up this morning i must have 'caught' a nerve, went major dizzy and fainted 2 times, luckily DH was there to catch me. took almost 3 hrs to slightly go away so i could get downstairs.
Called doc out and he says i may have twisted my hip somehow without knowing and the pain took a day to come out.
I'm on 3x ibruprofen every 4hrs,(he says prescription ib's are 600mg)and paracetomol.
May take a few wks to clear.

Definitely sciatica - had a bad bout of this in Nov/Dec and thought it would last forever, but I saw a private physiotherapist who virtually healed me (just get occasional twinges and a bit of pain around the ankle). The physio said (I suppose she would but I believe her) that it is very important to get the muscles manipulated so that they don't keep causing the problem rather than using pain relief, as you can continue to damage the muscles without knowing it. I had three sessions which cost £40 each, but well, well worth it (and I am not v. wealthy). Hope yours clears up!
