Swine flu to be prevalent for 2-5 years!

I was told by someine in the know from our PCT that they expect swine flu to be the main seasonal flu for the next 2-5 years and that they will probably (or are thinking of?) adding it to the seasonal vaccine. It does seem like the cases now are decreasing but if it's expected to bounce back in the next few years then maybe it's important to have the vaccine - what do you think? I know it can mutate but I think I've heard that this vaccine will still give some degree of protection against a mutated form. Anyone know about any of this?!

THink it has been confirmed now as being part of next years seasonal flu vax. We still won't be getting it - don't get vaxed for seasonal flu usually - swine flu was this years seasonal flu and it has actually been milder than previous years' seasonal flu. Funny how last April GPs were being encouraged to increase the uptake of the seasonal flu vaccine - looks like they'll be able to achieve that this year...
