to not go on a diet even though Ive put on a stone and cant fit in my clothes. Im 31 and only 5 ft 3 and weigh 10 stone. I can still get in some ( baggy) size 10 clothes but couldnt buy any new ones in that size. I have just had my third slice gorgeous aldi lemon and mascarpone cheesecake omg gorgeous!. I even out tracksuit on to go the gym this morning, ended up watching Sliding Doors instead eating cheese and crackers.I have a wobbly belly and a fat arse like never before. How do I get the incentive or energy to do something about it. I am thinking of getting a cross trainer??? Help Im a fat cow!

me too, 5ft 1 and 11 stone. put a stone on in last 4 months.
Ive GOT to do it, absolutely no question GOT to get this flab off.
I refuse to buy size 16-18 clothes. This is the heaviest i have ever been in my life.

I feel like shit, breathless and crap. too fat for any of my clothes, uncomfortable in even my "fat" clothes.

My lovely hsband will go off me.

Argos do cheap but good small xtrainer type machines I have one and actually use it for exercise now [It used to be used as a coat hanger] That way you evercise but get to see all you tv programs [soaps are great for timing 30 min workouts]

BrahmsThirdRacket · 22/02/2010 20:25

Exercise DVDs are the way forward. I would never do any exercise if I had to go all the way to the gym, change, workout, shower, change, come home. I recommended Davina.

Once you make the effort to do a whole day of healthy eating and do some exercise it will feel easier to keep going.

Swimming and aqua aerobics work well for toning up - if you hate sweaty gyms and aerobic classes. Eat what you want in moderation. I am trying to lose 1.5 stone in order to look half way decent in a bikini on holiday in May and I have been swimming four times a week for the past month and already seen a difference. I have also cut out butter and added fat and upped my veg and fruit intake. Not a "diet" as such, just making sensible choices when I can.

Saturday is the day I eat pretty much what I want though and don't think twice. Rest of the week, sensible!

Right then - poached egg and beans on wholemeal toast this morning. Crackers and salad for lunch and who knows what later when I get in from work... Keep me on the straight and narrow ladies
