I have it but my fingers (and sometimes toes) turn white not blue. It usually happens if I touch something cold for prolonged periods eg the cold steering wheel or a glass of cold water. My fingers go numb and I run them under the hot tap to get the blood circulating again. I also always try to wear gloves outside when its cold.

I have severe raynauds. The main thing is to not let yourself get cold cos it is impossible to warm your hands and feet once they are cold.

Mine go White cold numb but hurt
it stings when they warm up too
I'm just careful to get coat n gloves n hat on well before I go out but I get it in summer just from loafing fridge
raynauds usually goes White first...

I was diagnosed a year ago, though suspect have had for years. Always have cold hands and feet but was starting to get pins and needles in toes first thing in morning. Have invested heavily in cashmere socks (and uggs I'm afraid) which helps a lot. Always wear lined leather gloves outside. But still get that freaky sensation of getting in a warm bath and seeing blue/white toes gradually turn pink.

If you google info/tips for sufferers you will see things like 'consider moving to a warmer climate'. Yeah right. in my dreams.

My hands hurt when they start to warm up too, and it can take hours.

The sheepskin mitts sound like a good idea.

How important is it to get this diagnosed? I have suspected that I have had it for years. I mentioned to my doc a while ago, about my toes nails looking a bit blue etc. But she just shrugged it off really.

My hands hurt so much if I am messing about in the fridge or freezer. I was holding a drink last week with ice in it and my hand started hurting loads. It also takes my hands and feet soooo long to warm up.

I have it, though GP said they can't diagnose without seeing it.

Vitamin B something is meant to help (3 or 6) though I found it made my heart beat really fast.

Funnily enough it went when I was pg and bfing so that's an option (did come back though).

Lambanana, this may be an old wives tale but I thought running cold fingers under hot water could give you chilblains?
