Just to update you and thank you.

You and others were very helpful in the summer of last year.

I am waiting for an urgent review at a Gynae clinic!

Took the tablets, (which worked to a point), and still are in terms of reducing clots and heaviness of bleeding, but as you recommended did not let it go.

Have now started mid cycle bleeding and doctor has referred me as urgent.

Hopefully nothing, but the GP is now concerned.

Just waiting on a Tier 2 referral, they have special units in place locally, and the doctor expected me to get a date in the next 2 weeks or so.

I just did not want you to think your advice had gone unheeded!

Hi - sorry to butt in - what was reccommended? I have some of these symptoms and can't see what the next step is.

Thanks!

MSL

I remember you, thank you for the update.

Glad to read that you will hopefully be within a couple of weeks.

If you could post an update at some point I would very much like to read it. Your experience could also help other women in similar situations as well.

With best wishes

Attila - what a lovely poster you are. You are always so helpful to others.

PP I had a womb ablation for heavy periods, it really has changed my life. Only good if you're finished having children though.

And I agree with bellavita

PP, I have been on Transemic Acid for the bleeding, it did help that though not the PMT.

I'm not sure what the next step is for me really, will need to wait and see when I get this date through.

I will keep you updated.

Thanks Attila.

Another update.

Just been for my appointment at the CARE mobile clinic locally. They were great. I saw the Gynae Consultant, and a very nice nurse.

I had an internal and then my cervix checked visually. Apparently my cervix is healthy but my womb is lumpy.

This could be because of having 3 children and being due on.

They would have scanned me there and then, but the clinic was full and they were running late, so they have booked me in for 2 weeks time, and also another consultant appointment straightaway after it.

At the moment he is talking about a Hysteroscopy after the scan, but we need to wait and see. He said if that showed nothing then he would give me a Mirena! I said "no you won't, thanks but no thanks". Expatinscotland was right, she reckoned they would try that first, so then he said well Endo Ablation is another option.

But basically just wait and see what the results are in 2 weeks time.

manky

Thanks for the update.

Good luck with the appt in two weeks time, do keep us updated.

Endometrical ablation is an option only if you have completed your family.

with best wishes
