I can't even name change as I'm on my phone, and if I do it would probably end up in a UCM style cock up.

So it seems I have a prolapsed pile (hides in shame) and it hurts, a lot. Got gp's later but would like to know what the treatment is with these. I'm hungry too as I daren't eat as it would mean I have to go to the loo.

Is there any hope for me?!!! Or will I end up with an icky out patient procedure on a ward with old men .

What is a prolapsed pile?

I have suffered with piles before, and they were extremely painful.

The doctor prescribed me some pessaries which were pain killing pessaries. Honestly, I didn't think they would be much good, although expected them to take the edge off the pain (after I had managed to insert one, and wasn't at all sure I'd be able to).

Turns out they were wonderful.

one that has well and truly popped out .

The gp has given me the suppositories, I hope they work. He's referring me to the specialist too .

It's not just old men who have this trouble - I can gurantee you won't be the only younger person in the clinic! Watch out for prison inmates too - problems with rectal bleeding very common in that population ime - best not to wonder why I think!

Better make that a ward full of old men and psychopaths then.

Really feel for you, I've been suffering with piles since the birth of our DD 5 months ago. Luckily not prolapsed but still very painful, so I can only imagine the pain you're in.

Probably not recommended but I've been taking Senokot to ensure I'm loose and not straining. You shouldn't take it long term but I've found it helpful and now take it once or twice a week. Maybe your GP or pharmacist could suggest something to help.
