what could this be?

ds1 (9) has always been one for having aches and pains in his legs at night which i put down to growing pains.
About 6 months ago the aches started to be in his ankles and knees aswell. My brother suggested it could be because he ahd flat feet so went to G.P who was not really helpful and just said o.k i'll refer him about his feet.

twice in the last 3 weeks he has complained of his wrists aching. Now, am i reading too much into this, like is it likely that alot of writing at school could be the cause or is this something more?

Have you got anywhere about his feet? My father had flat feet as a child and the specialists then were very surprised that he stayed out of a wheelchair. He religiously did his physio exercises every day and this got him to a "healthy" position. perhaps when they look at why his legs hurt they might be able to shed light on other things

My dd1 has deen diagnosed with DCD which is a subset of dyspraxia. She find writing for long periods difficult. I only mention this because she has been given exercises with her hands for preparation when writing, a lot of streching and wriggling of her hands involved. She is also supposed to do things to stengthen her hands and wrists which should help things like painting and writing on an easel. Could exercises to strenthen his wrists help?

I've recently been to the doctors with my Daughter because her legs always seem to ache... She doesn't like to walk far and she say's standing hurts her legs hurt as well. We think daughter is dyspraxic, and she has an appointment to see a occupational therapyst (sp) Daughter is nearly 9.

what are the signs for dyspraxia? i have heard of it but don't know what it is?

When I first looked at that site I was convinced they had it wrong. My DD was the oposite of most of the elements they discussed on that site, she was running at 11 monthes and loved jigsaws. But I now accept that she is dyspraxic because she ia a very unconfident child who finds ways of avoiding using the pencil grip inorder to hold the pencil incorrectly and she has problems with balls. I keep wondering if they will give me an assessment because I was hopeless at ball games and I always found ways to avoid PE and I cant draw! I do have a maths degree though which doesn't fit!
