in my experience they tend to start off very itchy and swollen and then get sore. keep them at a constant warm temp and dry. not had any luck with remedies but others have. main thing is to stop them getting worse.

Hello MAS!

yes they do sound like chillblains - i get them too, very itchy. I found a homeopathic cream which seems to work, I will try to remember what it's called...

keep feet warm...dont let them get in extremes of temperature as this makes them worse. If you have poor circulation go and see doc ....nifedipine helps

Yep, the joy of chilblains.

I've had the joyous things for years most winters and theres not alot you can do - just try not to let them get any worse. Extreme changes in temperature are normally the cause - which is tricky when you've got a 2 mile round trip school run twice a day to do.

am going to look for the cream Boco mentioned - but it is hard to keep feet at an even temp. isn't it..my feet haven;t been feeling especially cold though,so I am surprised- I guess I focus more on my hands which go numb passing the fridges in Sainsbury's even in normal weather
