I've been to the doctors to discuss non-stop bleeding for last couple of months. She's sent me off for an ultrasound to check out what's happening. When this happened last year the scan showed up that I had very thick womb lining and this was the cause of it and I imagine is still the same.

The doctors said my options are coil - which I really don't fancy or some sort of pill - again I don't fancy this as I've never been on it so why start now at nearly 50.

When I read up on both options they mentioned weight gain and as I am very overweight I really don't want to add to it.

I thought they could do a D & C or thin the womb lining with lasers but I was told my local hospital didn't do these but could offer a hysterectomy. Which is a bit drastic

what are the options in this situation? is the thinning of the womb too drastic? are there any other options?

Bumping for you
I thought they could do endometrial_ablation

Have you seen a gynae?
If your local hosp doesn't offer the procedure they can refer you elsewhere surely
