I feel like its starting - had the spining room (even when lying down with eyes shut) lastnight and felt like I was going to spew. I have a job interview on Monday. I have tonsillitis, I can deal with that best I can. Any ways to try and stop lab? I know its highly unlikely but I figured if anyone would know MN would

Are there any surgeries open you could ring? If you've had it before and know what it is, they might be able to give you the anti-vertigo stuff (forget the name). Feel for you, labyrinthitis is horrible.

I actually have some in the house. Whenever I have it shes given me huge boxes of the stuff and I have about 50 tabs left. Contemplating taking them!

Hi, giraffes, if you have Serc/Betahistine or Stemetil/Prochlorperazine in the house I'd start now, so you have a chance to have symptoms under better control come Monday.
Other than that, dose up of Paracetamol/Lemsip-type stuff. I also find Merocaine useful (local anaestaetic lozenge) to help with pain of sore throat whatever the reason temporarily.

Good luck with interview!

Cheers pacific, have both betahistine and stemetil But the betahistine works best so will start taking that.

Just wanted to be sympathetic really. I had labrynthitis just after dd was born and it was the most horrible scary thing ever. I found Stemetil really helped - just for having more of a sense of control really, although the labrynthitis went away shortly after I started taking it I suspect it might have been on the wane by that point.

Good luck for your interview!

I've had it in the past and occasionally get spells like you're having. GP said to take the stemil and it would go away, if it didn't within a week to come back. Usually it goes within a day or two, so you'll be fine for your interview.

Horrible though isn't it.

Ive had it for weeks at a time before and had to have injections to help it as the tabs weren't working. Am hoping this is just a little bit off it because of the tonsillitis.

I'll never forget sitting up in bed and falling back down again like I'd been pushed .

What a horrid thing it is. Hope the meds work and good luck with your interview

My father gets this and he has found that Stugeron (travel sickness pills)work like a charm even when the meds from the doc fail. Good luck!
