Every month for the last few. Without fail. The two nights before my period starts, I wake up having sweated through my nightie. Eeww.

WHY??

(Quiet regular cycles, period came back in June when DS was 16 months, am still bf'ing him.)

me too, usually fo r4-5 nights

HohohoBumperlicious · 31/12/2009 17:18

Me too, and it has a particular smell to it do, a hormonal smell IYKWIM?

saltyseadog · 31/12/2009 17:26

I had this when I was BF - but before my periods came back. It was horrid, so I sympathise. HAs to be hormone related (stopped after about 3 months of BF) - maybe go and see the GP?

purplepeony · 31/12/2009 18:02

It's normal- don't worry. Usually due to higher progesterone=higher body temp.

JacksmamaInAPearTree · 31/12/2009 19:32

Thanks - glad I'm not the only one.

Info on here much better than GP (lovely as she is)

Bitch of a period this month, too - and I have to work today... I Am Not Happy!

I get them too, i also have really odd dreams and wake up in a sweat.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 31/12/2009 19:35

It's a hormonal change that causes your body temp to rise - very normal.

Hopefully your periods will get better. I'm on my 6th after having ds and bf'ing and each one has got shorter and lighter, and the PMT rage has stopped as well.

annabelcaramel · 31/12/2009 19:36

Me too. Back of neck goes all sweaty and horrible, my hair always looks dreadful the next morning. I get it for 2 nights too - tis definitely hormonal.

mrstimlovejoy · 31/12/2009 21:18

nappyzonecantrunfortoffee · 31/12/2009 21:38

sweaty betty here too - its here now though so hopefully a cooler nights sleep tonight.

chegirlwithbellson · 31/12/2009 21:59

I dont get them before my period but I do get them when i am in very early pregnancy.

Only with the last two so I am wondering if its age related too. Was in my 20s with DD & DS1 in my 40s with DS3 and DC5.

Bloody horrible and go on for weeks.

MrsForgetful · 31/12/2009 22:05

well...i'm 42 and thought it was an age related thing!!! My youngest is 10yrs...so can't be postnatally related with me!!!!

also now i don't NEED to have a 28 day cycle (ie...no plans to get pregnant!!!) ... i get 28 day cycles.... when i was trying to concieve i'd often go 70 days!!!!

JacksmamaInAPearTree · 31/12/2009 23:28

Aren't our bodies weird?

Better night last night - woke up only mildly damp as opposed to soaking with sweat .

OP posts:
Marne · 01/01/2010 08:15

Well i'm only 27 so i hope its not age related.

My youngest is almost 4.

BooHooo · 01/01/2010 08:49

I get this

brightonpebble · 01/01/2010 16:38

wow, interesting to hear its not age related. I'm 42 and get this, but for about 5 nights in a row. Now wear skimpier nighties and sleep with the window open sometimes. I thought it was perimenopause so went to GP, but hormones checked out as normal. So annoying though!

noddyholder · 01/01/2010 16:41

Me too am 44 and thought perimenopause but no!I spend all night in and out of the covers

JacksmamaInAPearTree · 01/01/2010 19:02

Have to wash the sheets after last night's drenching - poooo.

OP posts:
MrsForgetful · 02/01/2010 00:47

i get so tangled up in our sheets...whereas DH side looks like he's not slept in it!!! My side is so creased.
