What is the best way to do one?

Maybe that is the one to try then. So many products that I never knew anything about!

I have it waxed regularly. If you're prone to ingrown hairs, however, tell the technician. I'm not, but I still slather on the TendSkin before and after.

Also have a 'lady shave' for in between waxing appointments.

Expat - so as the proud owner of TendSkin can you enlighten us as to what elae it contains?

"else"

expatinscotland · 28/06/2005 20:55

No idea, yoyo. Never bothered to look. It's smelly, but worth it. I've been using it for years. It's pretty easy to get hold of in the States where I'm from.

I've spent years trying to find a suitable product for my dark, coarse hair. I would vote for "Nads" despite the awful name. It's a bit like wax, but whereas wax dries on your skin, Nads doesn't. The difference is, the dry wax will take off the top layer of your skin, meaning pain and inflammation, whereas nads doesn't dry, so it just sticks to the hairs and pulls them out, leaving the skin intact.

The results last about four weeks. I'm quite dark haired and find it hard to find a product more effective.

It comes with cotton strips, but tbh I found they got frayed very quickly. As it washes out, I took to using an old cotton pillowcase, so you put the stuff onto your leg then put the pillowcase over the top, smooth it down, and pull. Comes off the pillowcase no problem in the washing machine, you just keep going until you've used up all the pillowcase!!

TO be fair, this stuff is quite expensive (about £17 a tub) but it lasts a long time and I'm not sure it doesn't work out about the same as repeated purchases of veet. It's an australian product and a huge tub costs about £8 in Australia, so if you know anyone who's going, put an order in!!

You can get it in Sainsbury's by the way

it was by immac at the time and ws available over here as i got it in boots a few years ago. prevents redness and ingrowing hairs. think they still do it in boots
