Because DP seems to be completely unable to do anything but lie down in the darkened bedroom or stand moaning with his hand over his eye.
This is despite nurofen extra and ointment from A&E.
Should I become more worried and sympathetic?

I remember my husband did a study on this, he's a dr. He is not here to ask at the mo, but I do remember him saying that these can be really painful and that pain relief does not really do that much. Don't be worried, but do be sympathetic!

The pain is indeed horrendous. I have had this I have experienced and I have had fairly major surgery and given birth to three children.

It is absolutely horrible, be kind to him.

I had this in both eyes in February, and cried lots.

FlyMeToDunoon · 18/12/2009 20:50

Oh dear I haven't done very well all day then. Had masses to do and DP just seemed to get in the way and be no help. Hopefully can summon up sympathy now that the children are abed.

it is really painful.it feels like shards of glass are in your eye and it is really painful to open the lid. hopefully the antibiotic drops should help it heal in a couple of days
