Swine flu vaccine and hoping to TTC?

Hi all, I'm sorry if this has been done before but am due to get swine flu injection today and am a bit nervous about it. I have spoken to my GP and she advised me to wait until now and make sure I wasn't pregnant before getting it, am on CD4 now but also she said just to wait a month afterwards to ttc, but is this long enough to get through my system to start ttc in December? I'm very nervous about it and would appreciate any advice you might be able to give me. Thank you all in advance, Elaine x

Well as the jab is recommended for pregnant women the consensus is that it is safe for ttc, so no one can really tell you otherwise. I would say a month at least would be a good thing to err on the side of caution.

You have the luxury of being able to give it a month to get out of your system, so why not do that? If you're on cd4 now I'd wait till the next cycle if I was you. The other advantage of that is that there'll be no chance of you being newly pg at Christmas and having to avoid all the nice wine and cheese!

Thanks Ladies, plus I'm Brideesmaid on December 29th so will be nice to have a fitted dress and no morning sickness, althoough would be ecstatic to be pregnant too. Thanks a million, appreciate the advice x

And another advantage (in case you need more than being able to eat what you want at xmas!) - leave it another month and your baby won't risk having a late August birthday. I got pg in December with dc3 and only just scraped past August 31 - luckily ended up with a first week of Sep birthday rather than end of Aug so they'll be the oldest in their year not younest.

Hello

After consulting with my gyneacologist, it was concluded that i should take the sine vaccine before trying for a baby.

i have one query now; is it to safe to conceive let say a few days after taking the vaccine?

thanks for your help
