Why are women not told to check their immunity against rubella, chicken pox etc before they conceive?

We are told to get fit and take folic acid before ttc but nobody mentions getting your immunity checked to make sure you are protected against potentially serious diseases.

My 12 week blood tests show that I have no immunity against rubella, despite having had the disease as a child and being vaccinated against it as a teenager. What is the point in telling me that I have no immunity when it is too late to do anything about it? I also know of people who have had chicken pox twice and I am concerned as ds currently has CP.

Shouldn't it be standard advice that you get your immunity checked before ttc?

I was under consultant care for fertility issues and he checked my immunity before starting fertility treatment.

I have been vaccinated against rubella three times (once as a teenager & before each of my pregnancies) and I still come up as not immune. I've never had it though, despite all the rest of my family & 91 of the 92 children at my primary school having it. The doctor said I must be naturally immune, but couldn't really explain why it didn't show up in the tests (well, he did explain, but I didn't understand/remember what he said!)
Maybe they don't routinely check because it's not relaiable?
