Pelvic Floor exercises/ can they help with leakage? (TMI)

I was ok at doing my exercises during pregnancy, not so after - kept forgetting. Every now and then I have a little urine leak (not when desperate ironically, normally when I bend over and don't really need the toilet ...)

Is it really possible to reverse this problem? I have been much better the last few months, but want to now whether it'll be ok again, especially as we have been talking about trying for no. 2). I don't want to be destined for Tena Lady...

Thanks

All I can suggest is keep up with the exercises, make a note of leaks, and if after another month(?) there´s no improvement, I think you´ll need to talk to someone, tbh.

I had a very depressing physio appointment on Wednesday, when I found out that no amount pelvic floor exercise were now going to fix my bladder prolapse! But was told doing them can help support it all, but will never fix it!

Shame I waited 8 months to be told all this

All they want to do is operate, which I cant do as not finished having babies yet!

Very depressing!

Go doctors, if you havent prolapsed yet, there is still hope for you

You would need an internal by the doc to confirm, but I could feel a lump in v, so knew it had prolapsed.

I am all good really, as I am 10 weeks pregnant, so its all still working fine

My advice is though if it hasnt prolapsed yet, keep squeezing for england! Once it goes, it much like a hernia.

Yes they are safe in pregnancy as well, but dont do with full bladder, have a wee first and dont do them while doing wees either. xx

I went to see a specialist physio and wasnt offered anything! Just told to do pelvic floor exercises. I feel really let down, as I had been refered to her by consultant and from first going doctors it has taken 8 months to just be told to my pelvic floor exercises!

Yes, its depressing!

But I think I wasnt offered any help with it all as I am pregnant, so she didnt want to do internal or anything else. Thing is now is when I need more help!

She said I could go back for another visit, but I didnt see the point just to chat to her

She has kept me on her books until after I have had the baby, but didnt say she would do anything more, even then, but I could come back if I felt I needed too!

The consultant has dicharged me
