Numb toes and arms. Having blood test Weds for everything under the sun, diabetes is suspected but could be anything. I had pneumonia many months ago, I have terrible asthma. I now cant fill up my lungs and speaking or moving is a chore that makes me dizzy and very breathless. I am very tired. I dont know what to do anymore. Should I just chuck it in and turn up to a&e? I've been to gp he just wants me to wait for blood test weds but I can barely function.

Just seen your thread, sounds as though yo'ure really going through the mill, whatever it is...I wanted to ask, did they tell you what 'a little anaemic' means? Any numbers? Because IME the pros can minimize, without meaning to - ie not life-threatening, but still cause for discomfort/breathlessness/exhaustion and that would increase your asthma symptoms, and your stress, which would lead to a vicious cycle, iyswim.

I ask because I once had a year of having an HB of anything between 7.5 and 10.5, and tbh I felt almost as crap at 9.5 and even 10 as I did at 8. Everyone has their 'feeling ok' cut-off, I think.

The other thought I had, having had a neice, and a sister, and a friend who've had it, was ME?

Something that has always occurred to me about iron levels is that they don't know what your "normal" is/was, your "normal" could be higher than average which would mean that a little anaemic in your case is actually very aneamic for you.

I felt absolutely dire and exhausted beyond belief when I had low iron levels it's scary just how bad alone that can make you feel.

I dont think it is anxiety, ME i have been wondering abotu. The pos d-dimer can be a blood infection thing? I wonder if that can make my back muscles hurt so much which makes me short of breath? I had a load of blood taken this morning and I am going back to gp in a couple of hours to talk about d-dimer etc.

dh gets very sore back muscles with asthma. Is your asthma under control? That alone would cause exhaustion and soreness...plus a bit of anaemia...even without a blood infection.

Hope you get some answers today!
