I am officially nearing the end of my tether. My DS's both have a violent case of Gastro. It's coming out of both ends and today, I have been covered on a number of occasions with vomit and diahorrea .

We have only just started to recover from a recurrent bout of ear infection which culminated in an ear operation late last week for DS2.

Now it looks like I'll be having at least another 2 or 3 broken nights. I know it sounds petty, but I really feel as if I can't take anymore. My day is just one long round of cleaning up sick and administering medicine. DS2 started being ill on 9th May, he has always been a poor sleeper but it's been abysmal since then. I am so bloody tired [sigh]

Sorry, just needed to moan (again!).

thanks suedonim,

we came home on Friday and they are slowly on the mend. I on the other hand am not. I am so tired after sleeping in a chair next to DS2's bed for three nights and not having slept for the 2 nights prior to that. I was quite tearful and down today so DH put me to bed. I feel a bit better after a rest and I am looking forward to a quiet night in with DH, Pizza and the tele.

Just hope I can shift this miserable feeling I have soon - I am pretty worried about PND as I have had it before. I am not sure it can kick in this late though.

Will keep you posted.

Sorry you have had such a hard time Dejags. It is not unusual for you to be feeling low. I remember feeling very low and crying a lot once DS2 got out of hospital when he was a baby. It is all the worry and lack of sleep catching up on you. Hope you have a nice 'normal' evening tonight at home.

Glad you're all home again, Dejags. Ime, it's very common to feel low after an event like this. You've been running on no sleep/poor food/buckets of adrenaline for days and now the situation has resolved you've come down with a bang. It's a bit like the anticlimax that can happen after a holiday. I hope you perk up over the next few days - if you can devote some time to yourself, I'm sure that will help. Take care.
