And how old are your kids?

Just wondering if my gyppy knee is related to my toddler aged child?

My knees, my back, my shoulders, everything in fact just aches all the time and I'm only 23!

Evansmummy, if something hurts, don't do it. I'd see a physio, your knees sound v bad.

To be clear, anyway, the knee bends are not deep knee bends, the bent knee doesn't go further out than your toes.

From what, I know, clicking in joints is a sign of previous injury, but not a sign you're hurting yourself not, IYSWIM.

It is well worth investigating for those that never have. One of the most common things for knees is muscle imbalance there are three muscles that are in your thigh essentially one on either side and one in the middle. If one of these is a lot stronger than another it can move your kneecap very slightly when doing certain movements causing lots of pain but with certain exercises and stretching can become a lot better once the imbalance is sorted.
Get a referral to physio and keep a pain diary it is really helpful for diagnosis purposes, ie does it hurt more then I go down into a squat or when I stand up, up or down the stairs worse, better in the morning or evening what do you do yourself to make it feel better.

Cortaflex is better than glucosamine. DH swears by it. We get the capsules from Kay Dumont in Jersey. Cortaflex

Right, have some condition that pushes my knee obnes in the wrong direction cos the muscles aren't strong enough. Need physio but the next available NHS appointment is in september. What can I do until then?

I've recently noticed one of my knees has started clicking every time I go upstairs. Oh no ? could this be the start of the slippery slope now? Should I start taking glucosomine?

(they don't hurt, as such, just feel a bit weak occasionally)

I thought I was falling apart! 28 when I had ds1 and about 6months after had back and knee problems. went to see a lady at a chiropractic, cranial & osteopsthic centre. there they use mctimmoney method which is very gentle and feels as though she was just flicking her finger tips over joints of the body, very strange!Gave me a full mot , went for two sessions then and now everything is back in line I no longer have back and knee pain. apparently pregnancy can put you out of sink and causes pressurse on certain joints. now going back for check up after having ds2 in January.
