This isn't a call for people to go mad and start panic buying! Just a reminder that if you can do it, its probably quite sensible to slowly over the next few weeks start stocking up. That way if your family does go down with flu all in one go or if services are temporarily disrupted its one less stress in your life.
Will probably miss out loads so please add to it
Meds:
Paracetemol
nurofen
childrens versions of above.
rehydration sachets.
Favourite cold/flu meds.
Prescription meds. (don't go demanding masses lol - just make sure you don'r run things right down, esp asthma inhalers. Give your gp plenty of time to do your repeat)
thermometer covers if you have those ear ones. (may be even a replacement battery - ours takes the same as the tamgotchi!)
Practical things:
Nappies, wipes etc.
loo roll
tissues.
tampons.
washing powder
dishwashing stuff
disinfectants/bleach or whatever normally have
batteries
candles, or alternate light source
Matches.
Pets:
food
litter
bedding etc.
Food:
easy cook stuff that you actually like. (no good stocking up on 38 tins of beans if you'd never eat them)
pasta/couscous/rice etc.
soup
chocolate spread.
squash/fruit juice - what ever you know your child will drink even when unwell. Even fruitshoots
teabags
icepops.
Perhaps the summer might be a good time to go to dentist and sort out niggly teeth issues.
Anymore?
