Hi all, I seem to have all sorts of bother with my stomach. I would say I have a reasonably good diet, wholewheat bread, pasta, cereals, etc, not a huge amount of junk, but i don't eat a lot of fruit. I "go" fairly regularly, apart from the last week. Seem to be "windy" all the time, and if i don't eat every few hours, get a puffy, bloated, sore windy tummy.

Any ideas/suggestions? Thanks.

You may be intolerant to wheat- or gluten. Sounds like you are packing a lot away over a day. I am wheat intolerant- get diarrhea and rashes. You might like to try cutting out all wheat ( read labels as well) for a week or two- substitute rice cakes, or wheat free/gluten free bread- in most supepmarkets etc.

you could try rice krispies, corn flakes, or there are loads of gluten-free mueslis- do you shop at Sainsbury? Waitrose? Tesco? sure they all do them. Failing that, independent health food shops. Or you could try oats- they only have a small amount of gluten- do you like porridge?

The other thing to consider is lactose intolerance- maybe cut out wheat first, then see if cutting out dairy helps- use soya or rice milk instead.

Also look up flatus on wikipedia. There is a surprising list of windy foods.
