Tampons slipping out

Hi - sorry for the nature of the post but I want to know if anyone else is having this problem. I had my ds 9 months ago, finished breastfeeding 6 weeks ago and just had my first period. But tampons are slipping out. They go in fine and expand and all but, after a couple of hours, they've dropped an inch or so and are just starting to protrude. No leaks or anything but just uncomfortable. Am I so baggy these days? What should I do? Can't bear the thought of seeing my GP as there is no woman doctor at the practice.

you know the answer, don't you?

Mooncup......you know it makes sense....

I had this after having ds. I don't think it is the pelvic floor as mine was still quite strong and I had a c-section. I think that things had actually moved around a bit, I was having trouble inserting it high enough and I think mine were coming loose because I hadn't actually put them in far enough.

I'm pleased to say that about 2 years later the problem disappeared. Very frusturating. In the end I just stopped using tampons, for 2 years after having ds my periods seemed lighter so I could get away without using them.

With similar problem, my female gp didn't inspect me, just referred me to a nice female physio, so give your gp a chance? Physio could give me tailored exercises to tighten up down there.

Have subsequently bought a mooncup though - they are great, you do know that you're going to have to get one don't you

Pelvic floor.

i have this problem, my pelvic floor is quite tight(can stop flow of urine, can also grip stuff) but i still have a bit of a prolapse, think gp said it was anterior wall?

could a small prolapse be possible in your case?

Can I just say that I didn't have the 'slipping out problem' after DD, but now, after four mooncup cycles, I definitely have the stick in a bucket scenario

Leading me to draw the conclusion that mooncups stretch your fanjo more than an 8lber's head!

Lol bamboobutton. What sort of "stuff" do you practise your grip on?

I know what you mean. It wasn't pelvic floor with me either as I could stop flow of urine too.
