Some of the burnt bits on my leg seem to be blistering a bit.

Should I maybe put a non adhesive dressing on them to stop them getting rubbed by thighs trousers? Or just leave them to breathe and sit around half naked

cornsilk · 26/04/2009 18:11

littlelamb · 26/04/2009 18:12

Saltire are you Amy Winehouse?!
ouchy

Saltire · 26/04/2009 18:12

I spilt a pan of boiling water - my wrists and arms are really bad today and my wrist just gave way, most of it went on the floor, but some splashed all over me - mainly the tops of my thighs, my feet and my tummy - not big burns, about the size of a finger nail most of them, but some seem to be blistering a little

What have you done???? I'd leave them exposed to the air as much as possible. If they are blisters, then they will be protected from infection anyway.

KatyMac · 26/04/2009 18:13

Have you any lavender oil to put on them - it's wonderful

littlelamb · 26/04/2009 18:14

You are the winehouse. I knew it

differentID · 26/04/2009 18:14

please tell us you at least visited a+e?

FluffyBunnyGoneBad · 26/04/2009 18:14

Oh dear Did you run them under cold water for 10 mins?

You need antibiotics for 2nd degree burns. Pop to A&E they will look/treat/prescribe.

FluffyBunnyGoneBad · 26/04/2009 18:15

Don't put anything on them! Please.

Saltire · 26/04/2009 18:16

Yes, I did run them under cold water, at least 15 minutes. There's not a lot of them and they aren't as big as the one shown in that picture. TBH I think my jeans got most of the water. There's maybe about 4/5 of them

If they are not too big then cover them with a melonin dressing and pop to see the practice nurse tomorrow. Have a poke of the skin around the burn (no on the burn), pop to A&E if you can't feel anything.

Saltire · 26/04/2009 19:42

I have covered them with some Melolin, will see wha tthey are like tomorrow. I won't can see the practice nurse at my place, you have to make appts weeks in advance, but the pharmacist at work might can advise something

I used aloe vera (staright from plant) when I did similar last year.
But that was only on my arm.
