What are the signs of Dehydration?

DD1 is very ill at the minute with a temperature ranging from 39.7 to 40.3, we have tried to get her to sip water but she cries and doesn't want it (she is 4), when she had some juice earlier it made her sick, she has not been to the toilet all day and has not got off the sofa. I took her to a&e yesterday as I saw a bruise and when I did the glass test it didn't go, after a very thorough examination they said she could come home, I am now concerned about the lack of fluids she is taking in, what are the signs to look for in case she get dehydration?

She is still very poorly and not eating, we have given it a couple of days to let the antibiotics kick in and though we had cracked it last night when her temp went to below 37, lo and behold this morning it went back to 41.1.

Chiccadum ... I really think that if this goes on much longer you ought to take her to A&E ... a week is a ridiculously long time for anyone to have a high temperature ... there are too many horror stories out there ... Hope she gets better soon ... GX

Chiccadum, I hope this turned out OK, I have come to this thread late, but my advice would have been to insist that she's seen and tested for Kawasaki's disease, a serious condition which mimics other diseases but is characterised by a persistent high temperature. It's completely treatable if caught early, but parents often need to stress hugely about it.
Hope she is now on the mend.
