I have nausea, horrific moodiness and fatigue. Basically I feel 5-13 weeks pregnant, it is rubbish. Is this typical for the pill?

HappyCamel, if you feel it's right for you, pls give homeopathy a try. Registered practitioners here: www.homeopathy-soh.org/about-homeopathy/find-a-homeopath/
but I always think it's best to find someone with a good reputation for effective prescribing if you can. Diet is essential so ensure that anyone you consult will give you dietary advice too--this basically means staying off junk and processed food, alcohol, sugar and pesticide-contaminated produce to give yourself a chance to heal. If you decide on a homeopath but they don't do the dietary add-ons, you might consult a naturopath at the same time who will address these things.
Be clear with the homepath that you think the pill might have done it to you because that affects the remedy you may be given (ie be honest with the homeopath and tell them everything, they need all the info).

Microgynon gave me ridiculously heavy periods and a monthly migraine that was so bad I would vomit.

Doctor switched me straight away when I told him this.

I used to get the whole 'pregnancy symptoms' side effect with this pill when i took it in the morning. I started to take it at night and felt no adverse effects other than weight gain :(

Msbubbly · 12/06/2013 13:22

I have just started taking this pill and already within 7 days it had given me another period. I had just finished my period before I started taking this. It is very painful and it's day 2, is this normal? Also I take it at night. When is the best time to take it morning or night? And should I take it at an exact appropriate time every day? (e.g 7:30am-7:30am) I am very afraid of weight gain and cannot afford to get pregnant at the moment in my life. Everybody has different experiences but what are you opinions? They would really help. Any advice I can get. Thankyou

I had to come of this pill as I suffered from migraines, loss of libido and I turned into a right bitch

I went on Microgynon when I was 15 to try and sort out my awfully heavy, painful periods. They were exactly the same as they'd always been and it just gave me headaches! Incidentally I was speaking to my manager at work yesterday and she said she used to be on it and it made her feel rubbish too.
They then put me on Femodette which worked a dream... Light periods, no side effects. I was on it until about 6 weeks ago when I fell pregnant! Different ones work for different people. You might have to try a few till you get one for you.

I have recently gone on the Microgynon and i am getting deep stomach aches at the bottom of my stomach like a numb constant pain. Is this normal?

Tea1Sugar · 25/06/2014 15:44

Just on my first pill free week since starting it. I've lost weight, no spots, period was 4 days and 3 of those days only required a purple light tampax. Long May it continue!

I was on microgynon and started having migraines. Never had them before. My gp took me off it straightaway and said I can't have any combined pill again. As if I am having migraines on them then my risk of stroke is much higher.

thethoughtfox · 11/02/2018 08:45

That is a particularly bad pill. I had a conversation with some friends 10 or so years ago and it turned out we were all experienceing terrible periods of feeling down, tearful and unhappy. Turned out we were all on Microgynon. It must have been the default pill they were giving out at that time.
