My eyes are going really weird.

First off history: I have ms, but have to be careful not to blame it for everything. I am seeing my neurologist on 1st so not long, but as my brain seizes up in a pathetic kind of panic at new info I'd quite like to be prepared, and have some idea of what might be coming at me.

I used to get uveitis quite badly, but in the last 3 years it's not really been happening. Before that, I had 18m of 'recurring' attacks - mostly in the left, but often in both - and was actually suffering from it more often than I wasn't. This may be irrelevant.

In the last 6m or so, my eyes have been paralysing for a few seconds at a time. I'm not sure that they do actually stop but that's what it feels like. I can't move them, they are stuck.

One time it lasted for about 15mins (accompanied by a strange feeling of utter horror!); my dh was with me and he says they were far from still, but were zooming about, though to me they felt completely stuck in one position. I don't know if that's what it's like when it only lasts a few seconds as no one has time to look .

Do any of you have any idea what is happening? Advice as to what I might ask my neuro would be gratefully received too.

Please don't cushion the blow either (if there is one). I'd rather get a bit hysterical now, and be able to be sensible when I get to my appointment.

Thanks.

I am not a medical expert, but have been to a v good neuro with my ds with unusual condition that many other experts didn't want to know and it turned out to be autoimmune.
You could explore this link:
uveitis is often autoimmune, many autoimmune conditions are linked to gluten sensitivity or coeliac (my ds was tested via a gene test for gluten and his improvement on the diet has been amazing).
Scroll to Ocular manifestations.. for more info.

thank you nightcat, I'd just about given up hope. TBH that is too complicated for me to take in now, so I'll have to read it in the morning when I am feeling more awake!
