I am a regular poster but have changed my name.
Do you ever get pain during and after sex caused by a change in position?
I had a slight bit of pain last night and it is still achy today. Not horrendous by any means and it was quite deep iykwim-sorry i know TMI but I have been worrying!
It is like a mild cystitis type sensation.
I have had the odd ouch moment over the years but it normally has gone by the morning
Please reassure me

It can be normal. Often it's when you have endometriosis and have adhesions. Do you have heavy periods? Is it worse at certain times of the month.

Otherwise it can be just anatomical differences or lack of lubrication/stimulation. The vagina doubles in length when you are very turned on, if you aren't (and you probably aren't so much if you are worried it'll hurt) your cervix may be getting a battering.

You can also get 'honeymoon cystitis' which is where the vagina and bladder is irritated by ahem friction and basically a bit bruised and bashed. It will pass.

Perhaps more gently next time?

Ah well if you are in the middle of your cycle your cervical mucous changes from being very acid to slightly alkaline which renders it a bit more vulnerable to bacteria etc as well obviously as making it a nice place for sperm to pass through. You'll be fine. Drinking some cranberry juice will soothe your bladder and mucal regions. Don't take any ibuprofen if it hurts, paracetamol. Ibuprofen destroys the mucal layer and prevents implantation.

thank you Am drinking cranberry and water by the gallon.Think I'll take some paracetomol too

A warm bath may also help.
