Can't stretch enough

I was wondering if anyone else has ever had this.

I have that feeling in my legs like I need to stretch but no matter how much I stretch it never goes away. I fidget my feet all the time because of it and it's driving me mad!

My GP suggested I did more exercise might work if I wasn't so immobile from my bad back. I have a toddler and can't just ignore her so do do as much as I can, but I'm hardly going for a walk around the block.

Restless Leg Syndrome?

Can be a symptom of anaemia - have you been tested for this?

Walking is excellent for back trouble (been there, done it, got the T-shirt ), as long as the buggy is a good pusher.

That had passed my mind but I don't know much about it so it passed back out quickly, I'm going to look it up.

I'm not allowed to push the pram, I have a Silver Cross 3D so it's a good pusher but I couldn't do it. I walk with crutches and can't walk very far, they think I've broken something and I'm waiting for an orthopaedic referal, it's only taken 3 1/2 years to get this far (painkillers has pretty much been it until I had Fifi and the maternity hospital took it seriously).

I've just read that Restless Legs can be caused by an autoimmune disease, not sure if I feel that's good or not as I have the Daddy of all autoimmune diseases (I have Antiphospholipid Syndrome, if a symptom is a part of any autoimmune disease this one will create it). I will have to post on the support group to see if any of those have any ideas.

Your T-shirt is a lot bigger than mine.

Did the leg feeling start during your pg? From what I've read, if it did so then it's very likely to be anaemia-rleated. However, with the APS... But perhaps better not to dwell on worst-case scenarios.

I can't remember when it started whether it was before or after Everything before 2009 seems a blur!

T-shirt?

A blur...oh yes...

T-shirt: meaning that I thought I lived with back trouble, but it doesn't compare to what you have. Likewise, I was checked for APS just before I got pg with ds1 - they were thought I probably didn't have it, but couldn't say for sure unless I didn't miscarry. Which I didn't, but it gives me the tiniest glimpse of what actually having it might be like for you.

It's difficult to find exercise which will work your legs, while you also have active back trouble. That's always been a problem for me - and I find that I am more likely to be twitchy when my back flares up. Any chance of riding an exercise bike? Or swimming?

Ah, I like that

I wish they'd test more women for it, I'd have it a standard pregnancy or follow up miscarriage follow up test if I had my way, a lot of babies would be saved that way.

I think swimming would be about it but not easy with a 7 week old prem and a toddler. I do get frusttrated by all this, I can't even go home as I live on the top floor of a low-riser
