I have a very similar problem, i use head and shoulders shampoo and Aussie conditioner which seems to work well for me. Apparently Aussie shampoos/conditioners are good for coloured hair (according to my hairdresser) if you buy supermarket stuff instead of their expensive salon stuff!! (which i do)
Sorry to hear about the boil

MrsDoylesBoyle · 17/02/2009 22:44

Ok right i shall try the Aussie shampoo then.

I use Burt's Bees shampoo and Aussie conditioner. I have dry, coloured hair and a sensitive scalp and I wash it every day but it doesn't seem to strip the colour at all.

Sorry (and horrified) to hear about your boil.

hazeyjane · 17/02/2009 22:55

My hairdresser told me that, no matter what your hair tyoe, if you dye your hair, you should use a product for coloured hair.

bellavita · 17/02/2009 22:57

hazeyjane - same here.

I use Tresemme shampoo and conditioner for coloured hair.

I have hair like yours and the best I have used is redken all soft. I am on a budget so am using aussie shampoo which is not as good but good for a high street option.

MrsDoylesBoyle · 17/02/2009 23:35

Will add to the list to try thanks twinset. Will try the Aussie first i think though.

Redken all soft is nice, but I found that it really built up on my hair and that I needed to use a build up remover once every 10 days or so. Not to mention that it's quite pricey. If you do want to give it a go then google it, used to find it was cheaper to buy it online from the US and have a sent over rather than pay salon price here.
I have a tendency to slightly flaky scalp and greasiness, I use John Frieda brilliant brunette a lot which I love or the Elvive (sp?) that comes in the pink bottle - can't remember the exact name sorry!
