I'm getting lots of sleep (more than I've had in years, due to dp pretty much exclusively getting up with waking toddlers)

Having a fair bit of stress at the moment, but I am sleeping, which I don't when I have things on my mind.

I need to drive to Wales, then Manchester then back home to nearly the East coast on Thursday and I'm worried that if I am still this tired, I won't be able to.

Any advice?

Should I try and sleep more? less? should I drink more tea? should I try coffee?

Are you unusually tired? Any chance you are pregnant?

namechangecosfeelingsad · 16/02/2009 21:17

Have you had your iron levels checked recently? How about thyroid function?

fryalot · 16/02/2009 21:18

yes I am unusually tired

But no, there is absolutely no chance I could be pregnant

Have you had a virus recently?

nigglewiggle · 16/02/2009 21:22

anaemic suggestion here too!

namechangecosfeelingsad · 16/02/2009 21:23

Might be worth getting a quick blood test, my 2 closest friends have both just had unusual tiredness - one had slightly underactive thyroid and is now on Thyroxin and feeling great, the other had postregnancy anaemia, and was right as rain after a few weeks of iron tablets.

(I won't hijack your thread with my feeling sad reasons - they're a bit intense, but thanks for asking!)

Pop to the GP tomorrow if you can, just to rule some things out (glandular fever, anaemia etc). I have ME, I've noticed that the more I sleep, the more tired I am so it's a vicious cycle. Get checked by the GP though to see if there's a medical reason.

oh poo, I never thought about there being something wrong!

I was expecting you all to come on and say "oh yeah, we all feel like that sometimes, buy a box of pro-plus and get over yourself"

ok. I'll see how I feel in the morning and pop to the docs...

thanks all

There may not be anything wrong. It's best to check though.
