If I get nervous or stressed (eg running late for an appointment, stressed about meeting new people etc) I sweat a lot This is confined to my underarms mostly If I'm around dh etc just chilling out then I'm fine....

I wash daily, use deodarant (sp) but nothing seems to make a big difference...

I'm really down about it and I guess because I know it's going to happen, it makes it worse. I put off wearing coloured tops where wet patches will show more.....

Does anyone else have this problem or know anything that can help?

Happens to me too.

I went shopping to return some gifts for DD that didnt fit and I got so nervous (why?!?) and sweated loads,

i went to boots and bought deodarant and spray but didnt work.

I felt so gross and daft.

No advice, but just wanted you to know Im the same and happens in same situations, im fine at home, around family too.

I used to get very sweaty when under stress - which was most days in my job.

I used Dricolur (not sure if that is how you spell it)

You can buy it at Boots/Superdrug put it on at night - It stings a little but really worked for me.

Try......... good luck.

Me too until I started using PerspireX, it's expensive but worth it. You use it every night for about a week then just as needed, I find I need it about once every two weeks now. You still need a normal deodorant during the daytime though.

I sometimes have similar. I can get very anxious at work (I work in mental health) and ime sweat from being anxious/nervous is worse than sweat from exercise iykwim.

I try to wear cotton directly next to my underarm. (synthetic blouses make it worse). I shower in the morning and apply solid type deodorant/antiperspirant. I apply again before leaving for work, and top it up with a spray every few hours which seems to help.

At home just the one a.m. application is fine.

I use Mitchum but still get sweat patches may have to try driclor.
I hate it
Went to the gym today hadsweat patches before I had started

I found Mitchum (I had the solid version) not any better than "normal" solid products tbh. I was disappointed as I thought it was more "heavy duty"

LoveMyLapTop · 07/02/2009 21:13

Not very good at all will have to upgrade and admit to self just how sweaty i am
I like to see it as a sign of my fitness!

LoveMyLapTop · 08/02/2009 12:28

Dove and Sure are now doing the heavy duty over night ones too.
Bought the Dove one to try today. Heres to dry pits

I did find Mitchum did the trick for me, but maybe it was me getting a bit older too - I used to find it v difficult as a teenager and would wear white a lot, or jumpers in the winter and sleeveless in the summer. Now I can wear coloured linen and polyesterish type tops (they are nice, really, just can't think of a nice word for the material ) - and that's in an overheated office.

I did find tho, that a lot of the normal deodorants also made me itchy, which didn't help either. So maybe it's up to your own internal chemistry or something.

Good luck with it!
