Hi,
Before I had my DD 5 months ago I was super fit, now im super flab. I can only get to the gym a couple of hours per wk, and its just not enough - im working nearly full time. Diets dont work.
Can someone pls recommend a HARD exercise DVD, im still fit but like mush and its driving me crazy - I dont want one that fannies about and my mum could do, I wanna feel the burn!!!
I need to lose a stone so I can get into my old clothes and not feel like free willy's mate!!

Oh and if anyone says they came out of hospital in their old jeans I think it may push me over the edge!!!

Thankyou

The Nell MacAndrew ones practically kill me if that's any help?! They're like some kind of evil boot camp that just goes on and on...

I am loving the 5 step one with that woman from steps. It's fun, not too convoluted routines and leaves me out of breath and feeling like I've done something! Good cheesy Steps soundtrack too...

I came out of hospital in.....

my maternity clothes!

Oh yes... I came out of hospital...weighing only 5 pounds less than going in, despite having a 9 pound baby! (There's fluid retention for you!)

I like the Davina McCall power of three one. It is quite hard but also fairly simple ie no complicated routines that you cant follow, and you can do it in quite a small space. There is a long workout and then there are three half hour ones for when you have less time.

For xmas I bought my sister a couple of the ten minute solution ones so she can fit in 10 or 20 mins around the DCs naps. She said they are quite good too but might be a bit easy for you.

I'm on the look out for a good workout dvd too.

I used to love the Jane Fonda workout (on video) but doubt that is available now!

Before I had DS I was superfit, I ran 10k regularly and had just completed a half marathon when I got pregnant. I remained active throughout pregnancy and yet piled it on in the last few weeks.

I was two stone heavier than pre-pregnaccy after having DS. I couldn;t get into my pre-preg clothes for a year so I hate hearing about people who just pop into back into shape.

And as for the "oh breastfeeding helped me to lose TONS of weight", I think that my body retained wieght for breastfeeding as I only got my normal figure back when I stopped BF DS at 14 months.

I'm now almost back to my full pregnany weight on the toddler diet(eat your toddlers left overs, chocolates etc and crack open the wine most nights after s stressful day and you too could gain almost two stone)

If you genuinely want hard, I think Cathe Friedrich is the way to go, though you may have to buy from the States. It does depend as well how much space you have and what equipment if any e.g. weights, resistance band.
