I have quite a few chilblains on my hands. Never had them before the 1st lot appeared in Nov.

1st lot went away eventually but the ones i have at the moment are really sore. I hate getting my hands wet and having to dry them as it hurt.
They itch like mad when they get hot.

Is there any treatment for them? Any cream that will help with the soreness?

A pharmacist recommended balmosa to me the other day. Not tried it yet as I'm trying out nifedipine and want to be able to report back to rheumy about the effectiveness of it (somewhat) You poor thing to get them on your hands though. I get severe chilblains on my feet but hardly ever on my hands.

A girl I work with was advised to wee on her chilblains! . Apparently uric acid helps to heal them.

(NOT recommending that meself)

OhYouBadBadKitten Thanks. Will go in the chemists later and see if they have some. My feet are fine but they don't get cold as i have lovely warm slippers.

Iklboo Eww don't think i will try that!

sudocrem.

I got balmosa but bit worried about the warnings on the packet. It says the application of large amounts of Balmosa may result in worsening of Asthma. As i have Asthma, i am thinking i maybe shouldn't risk using it.

Found the Sudocrem so have used that for now until i can see a pharmasist on Monday.
