Suddenly got sensitive teeth - any suggestions or ideas how it happened?

In the last couple of days my teeth have got really zingy and it's driving me mad! Have not been drinking coke or anything, in fact have had probably had less to drink each day since the kdis went back to school.

Any ideas?
TIA

Have you got a cold?
A friend who's dad is a dentist told me once that colds can cause toothache - may be similar?

I've got incredibly sensitive teeth at the moment, sensitive toothpastes aren't helping and the dentist says that I have no signs of erosion. He reckons I could be grinding my teeth due to stress (though no signs of wear to prove this) which then sets them on "edge" during the day.

Another possible culprit is I've changed mouthwash recently - tried stopping using it and my teeth got less sensitive (but teeth felt scummy) so I might switch back and see if I solve both problems.

Thanks all. Have noticed my sinuses are a bit 'drowny' if you know what I mean, like when you accidentally go underwater - maybe all those nerves round there are overreacting at the mo. Teeth slightly better today I think.
